At showtime, Agnes Leider didn't know what do to.

"I experience often times I'grand just living the same twenty-four hour period over and over once more," said Leider.

Two of Agnes Leider'southward family unit members went missing over a year ago from her Sheboygan county home.

Cherry and Millie are both lab retrievers. Millie'southward a black lab. She would be viii years old, and Scarlet is her daughter and she's half dozen and a one-half years former. She would be anyways," said Leider.

Leider, Ruddy and Millie'southward owner allow them out after work. Not more than 15 minutes passed and they were gone.

Weeks, months and now a year has passed.

"The kickoff thing I think when I wake upward is, 'I wonder where they are. Are they okay? What happened to them?' As the day goes on it's the same serial of questions that just keep playing over and over and over again," said Agnes.

She started a Facebook page to discover her dogs called: Finding Carmine and Millie, and that'south when others started pitching in. Later seeing the page, people who had never met Agnes, Ruby-red, or Millie scoured fields, handed out flyers and passed out Halloween candy with Scarlet and Millie's pictures on it.

Kristin Wilson is function of the domestic dog searching group Baton'due south Posse based out of Racine. It's named later the commencement lost dog the group reunited with their owner. Rescuers were able to safely trap Billy and render him home. Trapping is a common exercise for scared dogs on the run.

"It'south a pretty fresh impress because it hasn't been rounded over and messed up past weather," said Wilson.

We joined her on a rural Racine County trail, tagging along while she tracked a missing pair of German Shepherds named Mac and Nina. Someone called in a sighting to the rescue group, so we went to check for fresh paw prints and a trail camera was set up up. After 24 hours, goose egg went past.

"We still accept all of these tracks here, so I'g not going to movement it. I'grand going to keep it here and come across if we get something if they come dorsum," Kristin said.

"I accept a dog and, my God, if something were to happen to her, if for whatever reason she went missing, I could not slumber," Kristin said. "And I tin can't just let someone sit down there and feel alone."

Agnes Leider has followed upwards on hundreds of sightings of her dogs in the last year. While each ane has come up empty handed, she hasn't let go of one affair.

"Always hang on to promise," said Leider. "I'm even so journeying through. I'thou going to exercise whatever it takes."
